Who is responsible for your data
Omar Amor SNC, trading as OMAR AMOR, Rue de Saint-Jean 32A, 1203 Geneva, Switzerland, is the controller of the personal data collected through this site. Write to info@omaramor.com for anything on this page.
We are based in Switzerland and we sell into the European Union. We apply the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
What we collect, and why
When you buy. Your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, what you ordered, and the confirmation that you accepted the pre-order terms. We need this to make and send your order and to keep the accounts the law requires us to keep. Legal basis: performance of the contract, and our legal obligations.
When you pay. Your card is handled by our payment providers. We receive the last four digits, the card type and whether the payment succeeded. We never see or store the full card number.
When you give us your email for the capsule. Your email address, and nothing else. Legal basis: your consent. One click in any email removes you.
When you write to us. Whatever you put in your message. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
When you browse. Pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser. This is how we know whether the site works. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a functioning shop, and your consent where a cookie is not strictly necessary.
We do not collect special categories of data. We do not knowingly collect data from children. We do not use your data to make automated decisions that affect you legally.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need it to do the job:
- Shopify, which hosts this shop and processes orders.
- Our payment providers, for the payment itself.
- Our carriers, which need your name, address and phone number to deliver.
- Customs authorities, for shipments outside the European Union, where the law requires a declaration.
- Our workshop in Italy, which receives the order reference and the delivery address on the parcel.
- Our email provider, for order emails and, if you asked for it, the capsule announcement.
We never sell your data. We never rent it. We never share it for someone else's advertising.
Where it goes
Your data is processed in Switzerland, in the European Economic Area, and in the United States where our providers operate there. Transfers outside Switzerland and the EEA rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Order and accounting records: ten years, because Swiss law requires it. Customer accounts: until you ask us to close yours. Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, and for three years after your last interaction. Messages you send us: three years. Analytics: at most fourteen months.
What you can ask us to do
You may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, ask for it in a portable format, and object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing rests on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done before.
Write to info@omaramor.com. We answer within thirty days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. This costs nothing.
If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or, in the European Union, to the supervisory authority of the country where you live.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep your cart and your session working. They cannot be switched off without breaking the shop. Any other cookie, including anything that measures audience, is set only if you agree, and you can change your mind from the cookie banner at any time.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data and puts you at risk, we tell you and we tell the authority, within the time the law allows.
Changes
If we change this policy we change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are on our list, we write to you.
